What is your favourite genre of writing? Romance

How old were you when you started reading? Too long ago to remember! Always loved books

How old were you when you started writing? I used to love writing stories as a child and always enjoyed creative writing projects in school. I studied Creative Writing at university and I wrote for fun after my formal education. 

Did someone inspire you to write (ie an author, teacher, relative)? I had an English Teacher in school, who was the best. I had an assignment for a piece of travel writing and his feedback was so positive and encouraging that he was the first to make me think I could do more with writing. 

How old are you? 32

What part of the country do you live in? Hampshire

Are you married, have children/grandchildren? Married with one young daughter

Is it easy for you to find time to write? Not usually! My husband works shifts and does two week stints of evenings so once my little one is in bed on those nights is when I manage to get most of my writing done

Do you have a favourite place (room in the house) to write? Mostly write in my lounge out of ease but when the weather is just right, sitting in the garden with my laptop is a real pleasure

Are there certain times of the day you find most productive for writing? Would love to be able to write during the day, I think I would be more productive that the evenings but I don’t often get that luxury

Have you met anyone famous? Spoke to Michael Ball after seeing him in a production of Hairspray, shared a flight with James Nesbitt and saw Will Smith at the Premiere of iRobot…but didn’t speak to him!

If you could meet anyone famous, dead or alive, who would that be (more than one, if you like)? That is a tough one, there are so many people I love and admire. Tom Hanks is one of my favourite people, such a talent and a genuinely lovely man, I’m not a sports fan but I think Serena Williams is incredible and I think it would be amazing to meet her and Celine Dion is one of my favourite singers, so she would have to be on the list!

What has been your greatest achievement? Finishing and publishing my novel has been huge but I am most proud of my daughter
